Description

BOSS® 7129 is a fast, sprayable contact adhesive in a portable pressure vessel that saves you time, saves costs and maximises the insulation value of your building during all phases of construction! Ideal for bonding: soft, flexible insulation, vapour barriers & foils, polystyrene (EPS & XPS), EPDM & DPC (not on flat roofs), rubber, cork, felt, bubble wrap, melamine, PE.

Properties

• The cost remains the same, regardless of the thickness of the material to be bonded
• 1 sided application: For light applications it is sufficient to glue in the substrate or the material to be bonded
• 2 sided application: For more difficult materials and heavier applications (e.g. outside, ceiling)
• The adhesive sticks almost immediately
• The adhesive remains sticky for up to 4 hours
• Ideal for large surfaces to be glued in one go 50 % faster: This way of working is up to 50 % faster than e.g. installing insulation material with plugs
• Install up to 200m² of insulation material or foil per hour

Application

Single-sided application:
Glue the desired surface sufficiently and always fully, depending on the application. Overlap (50% to 75%) of the adhesive layers is necessary. Evaporation time min. 30s depending on environment. Bring both surfaces together and press firmly. Re-positionable and correctable depending on material type.

• All insulation materials with a weight < 4kg/m² (Partywall®, Building board 133, Building board 210 (35kg/m³) – up to 12 cm
• Vapour barriers, Geotextiles (Bontec®), wall felt, …
• EPS-XPS (depending on application)
• Light applications, which must be correctable if necessary

Double-sided application:

Glue both surfaces evenly and always fully in, coverage depending on the application. Overlap (50% to 75%) of the adhesive layers is necessary. Crosswise gluing increases the final strength considerably. Allow both parts to dry for at least 30s, depending on the environment. Bring both surfaces together and press firmly. Rolling, pressing (min. 15s) or knocking with a rubber hammer are also possible.

• All ceiling applications
• Outdoor applications that are subject to wind and moisture, must be permanently shielded within 2 weeks
• Plastic and construction foil (Glue in the surface (evaporation time min. 30 seconds) with a first coat, and then spray a second layer of adhesive over the first one (evaporation time min. 30 seconds), position the foil and press firmly.) EPS – XPS (depending on application)
• In the case of highly porous materials (plaster, concrete, etc.), a second adhesive layer can be applied after the first layer has dried (immediately).
